What is The IDDSI Framework?

The IDDSI Framework, launched in 2015, provides a standardized way to describe food textures and drink thickness for people with swallowing difficulties. It also establishes consistent testing methods for pureed foods and thickened beverages, helping caregivers and food preparers ensure patients’ dietary needs are met accurately and safely.
